Après avoir pêché le thon rouge aux leurres sur plusieurs saisons, la mouche s’est imposée comme un défi ultime pour ce poisson. L’approche des chasses à la mouche demande encore plus de délicatesse et de précision que la pêche au leurre. Equipment

For hunting tuna, you will have Abu Garcia Salty Stage KR-X TUNA rods equipped with Penn Salmmer III reels. These sets will allow to attack without compromise the fish of the Bay of Biscay which commonly reach sizes between 10 and 80kg. Lures will also be available.

The boat

The BFT-Guiding team will welcome you on a boat entirely designed for sport fishing. You will be able to navigate and track Bluefin tuna in an Everglades 243cc. With a length of 7.5m for 2.5m wide, it allows 4 spinning anglers to launch on the hunt simultaneously. The boat is equipped with a 275hp Mercury Verado engine that provides the exceptional performance and navigation needed for these offshore fisheries. 

You can enjoy a day of tuna fishing in conditions of optimal comfort on an exceptional open boat.

Addtional information

Fishing sessions can take place from mid-June to mid-October. But the most interesting fishing season is between mid-August and mid-October.

The rest of the calendar will be open at the last minute depending on the presence of tunas on the fishing area

Bluefin tuna are subject to strict opening periods in No Kill only.
