Description

The flats are shallow areas that border a portion of the Guadeloupe coastline.

It is a biodiversity-rich ecosystem that hosts many fish species, including the legendary bonefish and permits. They come to these areas to eat small crustaceans, sea urchins and others ... The fish can be visible sometimes on the flats, they betray their presence by letting their caudal fin appear out of the water, it is the famous "tailing" ... Apart from that, you really have to look for them, hence the nickname of the bonefish, "ghost of the flat".

Over the years, I became interested in the biology of these fish and their behavior. I know when and where to find and fish them, I will be happy to share with you these unpublished meetings.

My name is Cyril. I am a young Guadeloupean passionate about nature since my childhood and more particularly in fishing ...
My fishing techniques in Guadeloupe are lure fishing (spinning + casting) and fly fishing.
I fish at sea in Guadeloupe from the shore and by boat. With me, you will discover the different ecosystems that make up our island: river, mangrove, flats, wild beaches, lagoons and coral reefs.
You can discover Guadeloupe from another angle, looking for the different species of fish that inhabit our waters such as tarpon, bonefish, snook, trevallies and others ..

During this fishing session you will discover Guadeloupe from another angle.

I will guide you on several fishing zones, I will help you first to see the fish but also to understand the ecosystem and the interactions that there are with its inhabitants (bonefishs, permits, snappers, jacks, garfishes , barracudas ...)

I will also refer you to the technical aspect, the choice of lure or fly, how to cast his lure or his fly ...

Addtional information

I recommend wading, polarizing glasses, a cap or a hat, sunscreen and water ...

Des conditions difficiles et malgré cela Cyril nous a permis de sortir notre épingle du jeu. Une très bonne journée de découverte des flats de la Guadeloupe

Superbe journée sur les flats de Guadeloupe avec Cyril.
Gentillesse, convivialité et pédagogie au rendez vous.
Grace à Cyril j'ai découvert le Bonefish et le Permit à la mouche.
Les conditions n'étaient pas très favorables (beaucoup de vent et pas de tail), à défaut de prendre du poisson, nous les avons approchés, Cyril m'a donné les bases de la quête de ces poissons à la mouche (shoot et animation des leurres).
La culture écologique de Cyril est un plus, il sait partager son dévouement à la sauvegarde de l'environnement de son île.
Une bonne maitrise de la double traction serait un plus.
Si l'expérience vous tente, je vous la recommande.
