Certainly one the most masterful fishing techniques, practicing fly fishing on one of the most beautiful rivers in France; the Dordogne, promises us unforgettable moments. Starting fly fishing on your own is despite the will or desire a little bit complicated! I will save you time in your training or improvement and you will avoid several difficulties.

About your guide

Laurent

Fishing guide in the Lot, and member of the French federation of fishing guide instructors, it is in the Midi-Pyrénées region that I work and more particularly in the Lot Department where I live.
Dedicated to aquatic environments since my youngest years, it is with passion and professionalism that I have been guiding for ten years on the Dordogne river and the reservoir lakes of the region. I work daily on a natural, wild and therefore fragile environment. I want to respect it and share with you its exclusivity.
I am a responsible professional and concerned about the result, I am a fishing guide to communicate knowledge, a passion.

The program in details

Together, we will search for trout and grayling that live in the river. The fishing is practiced partly in the water in "wadding". I will teach you this technique for beginners and experienced fishermen.

I will teach you:
- Fishing Equipment
- gesture
- Insects (Entomology)
- The flies that correspond
- The approach of a fishing spot

I will improve you on:
- Casting techniques
- The long drift
- Fishing Nymph and Named
- The assembly and manufacture of flies

Fly Fishing Techniques:

- Dry fly
- Flooded fly
- Nymph
- Streamer

Equipment we will use: Whisk MARRYAT; SNOWBEE silk; home made flies

I had a really enjoyable time with Laurent and would 100% recommend him to any other fly fishermen wanting to explore the Dordogne. He has extensive local knowledge of the best spots to fish in the area and when to fish them. A great tutor and coach for all fly fishing techniques and he has phenomenal knowledge of all technical aspects of the sport in great depth and detail. Exactly what I was looking for, so thank you Laurent, and above all good fun!
