I propose you a fishing session in Lozère, searching for trout with tenkara fishing techniques.
This technique comes from Japan and uses a simple fishing equipment. Just keep only the basics -a rod, a line, a fly- and banish the superfluous. That is the spirit of Tenkara.
This is firstly an intuitive technique in which the angler first and foremost will look for the right fishing spots, where the fly's presentation is more important than the fly itself. Tenkara fishing is particularly well adapted to small and medium rivers, for trout in particular. Lozère, with 100% of its rivers in 1st category, is thus one of the most adapted French department for Tenkara.

The program in details
Tenkara is a fishing technique for trout that seems to be tailored for the department of Lozère.
During a day of guiding, we will be able to approach or deepen the various approaches and subtleties of this fishing technique.
During the fishing season (mid-March / mid-September), we will search for trout, (but also grayling, barbel, chub ...) with the most appropriate techniques with typical Japanese flies, kébari and with nymph.
Tenkara rods are long (between 3 and 4 meters), without reels and very sensitive. They are able to cast easily a fly at more than 6/7 meters, which is more than enough to catch trout on all rivers in Lozère.
Even with a fish of modest size, the fight is drastically multiplied compared to a conventional fly fishing equipment. So I let you imagine with a big fish... With good advices, the gesture is quickly acquired, the Tenkara is for all audiences and anglers of all levels.
Experienced or novice fly-fishermen, everyone can try tenkara fishing !

Aurélien a pris le temps de me préciser chaque aspect technique et "culturel" de cette merveilleuse technique.
j'ai péché toute la saison au tankara, c'est une pêche pratique, rapide, facil, qu'il faut absolument découvrir. Toujours avec un tankara dans le coffre et 2 ou 3 montages dans la boite a gant, vous pourrez pêcher .. partout !
Le choix des parcours d'Aurélien était parfait, avec des tronçons magnifiques. Une douzaine de truite dans la journée, c'était un superbe moment.
je retournerai me faire guider j’espère a d'autres occasions avec Aurélien.
