Trout fishing with baits in Pays-Basque

Description

The rivers of Pays-Basque are a set of streams and small rivers from 2 to 6 meters width.

100% wild, trout or "Amuarreina" in the Basque language, spawns in this natural environment, as on all the rivers of the basin. Trout, minnows and dowels coexist in these pure waters by hiding under rocks and beautiful shale slabs. The discretion of the approaches will be one of the keys of the success whatever the kind of fishing you practice. I will teach you how to catch them with live baits in the heart of the mountain.

Curieux par nature, je vous enseignerai différentes techniques de pêche sportive. C’est avant tout la truite que nous irons traquer dans les nombreuses rivières basques: sur les bassin de la Nivelle et des Nives et avec également la possibilité de découvrir les magnifiques rivières espagnoles de la vallée de la Bidasoa à quelques minutes de la frontière. Tout d’abord à la mouche et au tenkara, également aux appâts naturels ou aux leurres selon vos envies et les meilleures conditions du moment.

The program in details

We will practice this fishing technique thanks to a rod adapted to the small rivers and very sensitive, for natural drifts in the wider rivers. This fishing technique is more and more technical as the season progresses. This is the ideal technique to acquire this "sense of water" which is so precious for all anglers.

Together, we will see the following points that will allow you to practice this fishing technique easily :

- Presentation of the equipment

- Teaching the gestures and the main casts 

- Study of river invertebrates and baits

- Reading the river and approaching spots 

- Application ... in fishing !
